Friday 22rd March 2024
9 am - 4 pm
Mabellae Farm, Moss Vale NSW
This day is for everyone interested in using less chemicals on their property, those with a small acre farm as well as broadacre farmers, flower farmers, market gardeners, cattle farmers, crop farmers. Everyone is welcome.
Wander past the wildflower bee garden up to the shed for a slice of cake and a cup of tea. We will gather together and make our introductions before a presentation by Emma Jane., your resident soil advocate. We will discuss the basic pillars of Regenerative Farming & Gardening and take you on our regenerative journey here on Mabellae Farm.
We will then head out for a tour of Mabellae Farm.
A light lunch will be served around 1 pm, prepared from seasonal produce grown right here on Mabellae Farm. We will be serving a local biodynamic wine with lunch ,along with our non alcoholic Magnolia Syrup cordial.
Over lunch, we will discuss the theory of no-dig gardening/no-til farming, compost, multi species cover crops, green manure, riparian corridors, enhanced dams and other regenerative gardening & farming concepts before then heading out to the market garden and Green house for a tour.
You will depart with confidence within yourself that you can go home and implement some of these concepts in your market garden or small acre or broadacre farm. You will leave with your workbook full of information, tips and notes from the day.
Please wear sensible shoes, a hat and bring a raincoat or brollie as we will be outside rain, hail or shine. We are located in the Southern highlands so please be mindful that our temperatures can be a lot cooler than other parts of NSW, so bring some layers!
