Creating a no-dig regenerative kitchen garden bed 6th April 2024
Saturday 6th April 2024
10am - 2/3pm
Mabellae Farm, Moss Vale NSW
Wander past the wildflower bee garden up to the potting shed for a slice of cake and a cup of tea. We will gather together and make our introductions before we head out for a tour of the market garden and greenhouse. We will discuss what is in season and give you information about our journey from a bare paddock to our productive market garden and greenhouse.
We will then enjoy a light lunch in the Potting Shed, prepared from seasonal produce grown right here on Mabellae Farm. We will be serving a local biodynamic wine with lunch, along with our non alcoholic Magnolia Syrup cordial.
Over lunch, we will discuss the theory of no-dig gardening, companion and succession planting and other concepts before then heading out to the garden again, to get down and dirty creating a no-dig garden bed that you can go home and replicate in your own garden.
You will depart with confidence within yourself that you can go home and create the kitchen garden of your dreams armed with your workbook full of information, tips and notes from the day. You will also take home a seed pack of regenerative seeds from Mabellae farm to kickstart your veggie garden.
Please wear sensible shoes, a hat and bring a raincoat or brollie as we will be outside rain, hail or shine. We are located in the Southern highlands so please be mindful that our temperatures can be a lot cooler than other parts of NSW, so bring some layers!
