Join Emily and Emma Jane for a day of foraging for mushrooms followed by a delicious lunch featuring mushrooms as the centrepiece.

Join Emily & Emma Jane by the fire pit for a slice of cake and a cup of tea. We will gather together and make our introductions before we gather our baskets and head out foraging under the pine trees. We will follow Emily’s lead as she teaches us about local mushroom species – Slippery Jacks and Saffron Milk Caps growing under the pine trees. Emily is an experienced shroomer and is a wonderfully patient and kind educator, she will be able to answer all your questions.

We will then enjoy lunch prepared from seasonal produce grown right here on Mabellae Farm, showcasing our foraged mushrooms. We will be serving a local biodynamic wine with lunch from Tractorless Vineyard, along with our non alcoholic Magnolia Syrup cordial.

Over lunch, Emily and Emma Jane will be available to chat with you and discuss all things mushrooms.

You will be able to take home your foraged mushrooms to cook with at home, along with curated mushroom recipes from Emma Jane’s collection.

Please wear sensible shoes, a hat and bring a raincoat or brollie as we will be outside rain, hail or shine. We are located in the Southern highlands so please be mindful that our temperatures can be a lot cooler than other parts of NSW, so bring some layers!
