What forms of payment do you accept?

Paypal gladly accept Visa, MasterCard and Amex or regular account payments all through PayPal.  You can also “send money” via your paypal account to emmajane@thestillroom.com.au.

How secure is this store?

When you choose to use Paypal for payments, and PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Do I need a PayPal account to make a purchase?

No. PayPal has optimized the checkout experience with an exciting improvement to their payment flow.

For new buyers, signing up for a PayPal account is now optional. This means The Still Room customers can complete their payments first, and then decide whether to save their information in a PayPal account for future purchases.

Here’s how this easier checkout works:

Customers enter their name and shipping address.

They’re prompted for their credit card, email address, and phone number.

(Optional) After reviewing their information, they may choose to save their information by creating a PayPal account to make future transactions faster.

Please note that PayPal’s fraud prevention measures remain in effect for buyers who use this checkout even though the customer hasn’t created an account.

What is your Returns and Exchange Policy?

TSR takes great pride in the products offered and the delivery methods used. If for any reason you are not happy please contact me immediately emmajane@thestillroom.com.au . If the product is faulty we will gladly replace the product. If the product is out of stock we will refund your money or offer you a credit. TSR needs to be notified within 7 days of receiving the goods. If you change your mind, exchanging goods is at the discretion of TSR. You will require proof of purchase to return or exchange the product.  If the product has been damaged in transit, please let us know immediately and we will contact Australia Post directly to sort out any claims.

How long will it take to receive my order?

TSR ships online orders within Australia only. Please allow 5-7 business days for stock orders to ship. Our shipping rates are calculated based on the estimated weight and size of the items. We use services from Australia Post for domestic shipping.

Do I need to be home when my order is delivered?

Due to the fragile nature of TSR’s products, certain carriers will not leave goods with somebody that is not the named person on the delivery documentation.  Therefore, if your order needs to be accepted by someone other than yourself, their details must be included in the special instructions for your delivery.  Please ensure your shipping details include your street address and daytime telephone number.  Your order cannot be dispatched if these details are missing.  The TSR insurance only applies until the order is delivered to your nominated address, after which any items are wholly at your risk.

What happens if my item is out of stock?

In the unlikely event you place an order for a TSR item that has temporarily sold out, TSR will notify you within two working days of the estimated time of delivery.

The Still Room is a gathering place of recipes, anecdotes, treasures, tips, tools and beautiful objects that I have collected over many years. It is an expression of who I am and what brings me pleasure in life. I see the kitchen as an integral part of transforming a house into a home – and The Still Room is an extension of this.

Whilst the vast majority of people do not have the luxury of being able to accommodate a still room in their house, I believe everyone can take something from what it has represented throughout the centuries – a haven that encouraged the individual to create products for the improvement and enjoyment of day to day life.
